In 1977, Selcom S.p.A. (Now Wittur S.p.A.) was established in the Clerno area of Parma, Italy, followed in 1980 by Selcom Aragon (now Wittur Elevator Components S.A.U.) in Zaragoza, Spain.

1993 was the starting point of the Turkish Wittur collection. This year, Wittur bought the Turkish Aspen Collection (now Wittur Asansör Sanayi Ve Ticaret Ltd. Sirketi) in Istanbul, which currently manufactures Selcom doors for the European market. After Turkey, it was Italy again and the acquisition of Omar Lift (now Wittur Hydraulic Drives S.r.l.), a manufacturer of hydraulic elevator systems in Bergamo, Italy. In 1995, the Wittur Group opened the Suzhou Selcom (now Wittur Elevator Components (Suzhou)) factory in Suzhou to increase production and increase its share of the elevator door market in Asia. Over the next few years, China’s Selcom door factory grew steadily, producing more than 700,000 Selcom doors annually.

In order to expand its activity in the elevator parts market, wittur Group added the production and supply of wittur gearless motors to its products in 1997 by purchasing System Antriebstechnik Dresden GmbH (now WITTUR Electric Drives GmbH) in Dresden, Germany.

In 2000, Wittur officially entered the South American elevator industry. He first bought SOIMET (now Wittur S.A.) in Argentina and then opened the Wittur LTDA plant in Londrina, Brazil.

In the same year, Wittur bought the Kone elevator and elevator car factory in Kansas, USA, and produced the Selcom door to the US market for four years, but in 2004 the US Selcom door factory went bankrupt and John Mann was declared bankrupt. The English capitalist was sold.

Wittur was developed for the Selcum door plant in 2009 in Kropina, Slovakia, and in 2010 in Chennai, India.

In the spring of 2010, Horst Wittur, the founder of the Wittur Group, died on February 6 at the age of 67 after a long illness.
