For years, Heidenhein Germany has proven its unique quality in the automation and elevator industries worldwide due to superior technology in encoder production, from the design of the conical shaft to the output of the commutation signals.
The tapered shaft allows the encoder to be connected directly to the motor shaft, eliminating the need for additional rotor coupling. In addition to facilitating the installation process, the stator coupling compensates for the backlash between the motor and the encoder, thereby reliably correcting the inaccuracy. Along with incremental output signals, Hayden Hein encoder also outputs sinusoidal or block commutation signals for direct commutation control.
